Infographic: #EdTech Saves TIME

The idea is to create something to persuade you to believe that technology in the classroom is actually beneficial. I could wax poetic (or no, actually I can’t write poetry) on the advantages of using #edtech. The fun, the excitement are all a part of it. Student engagement can be HUGE! But rather than write poetry, I decided instead to try an infographic. An infographic is a visual representation of data, given with minimal words (Dictionary.com Unabridged). Creative Blog has some free suggested tools.
Using Piktochart, I decided to see if I could lay out in graphic design how #edtech saves you time in the classroom. I do a lot of work with teachers on using student-made movies to enhance their classroom, assess the students’ knowledge and introduce topics in the class. But I also want to emphasize that technology in the classroom is not limited to making movies. Now I wanted to try to say all of that in a single infographic. This sort of design work is not my forte, but if I’m asking teachers to get out of their comfort zone and try something new, it seems I should take that advice too.
I did get a non-teacher’s perspective on my first draft and modified it slightly to accommodate her confusion. Does this convince you to try something in your classroom? Let me know! I would love your feedback!
